Where Science and Law
Enforcement Meet
Iowa Central Community College
criminal justice students toured the
Midwest Forensics Resource Center
on Nov. 17. Roger Jones told the students
about his research using DART
mass spectroscopy to characterize
ink samples, and David Baldwin and
Dan Zamzow demonstrated how they
create and analyze high-speed digital
videos of bloodstain pattern formation.
Here, Zamzow (left) helps ICCC
students try their hand at making
high-speed videos of blood (in this
case, red-tinted corn syrup) drops
falling onto a surface. |
